My latest job possibility (for Assistant Professor of English) is at the University of Puerto Rico. The university is run in a similar way to a US state university, offering courses to both Puerto Rican and mainland US students, and I am very excited to have made the shortlist there. Beautiful buildings and palm trees can't be bad!

Snow patrol (and I don't mean the music)!
The Alps have invaded Britain.It was -5 degrees C last night, and the heaviest snowfall the UK has experienced in 18 years. Plus most of the snow fell today during morning and evening rush hours. Fun, if you can get anywhere!
